Eternal LifeSample

Our Bodies Will Be Renewed as Well
Yesterday, we saw that physical death does not interrupt eternal life. However, this does not mean that our bodies are unimportant or have nothing to do with God’s future! When Jesus returns to judge humanity and to create a new earth, our bodies will be raised as well. They will be transformed to be like Christ’s glorious body after His resurrection. They will be immortal and imperishable.
The apostle Paul compares this to the sowing of a seed: our mortal bodies are sown in weakness and dishonor—as we can all testify if we have ever attended a funeral. There is nothing glorious about a dead and decaying body. But this is not the end! Our bodies will be raised in glory and be reunited with our spirits to live forever on God’s new earth.
Eternal life is not something purely spiritual. It is true that our spirits will be in heaven until the end of the present age, but that’s only a halfway station, in a manner of speaking. We will not spend eternity with God as spirits only, but as people with a renewed body and a purified spirit.
God values your body so much that He doesn’t want it to be destroyed, but to be renewed. Do you treasure it as well?
About this Plan

When Jesus speaks about his ministry, He says that his goal is to give people abundant life. That’s the reason why He has come to this earth: “that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16). What is this abundant, eternal life like? Let’s read what the Bible tells us about this topic.
