Bible 2020 The Mission to the WorldSample

The Mission to the World Day 9 of 20
When did you last look at the state of the world and cry out to God, “Why?” Habakkuk complains to God. In doing so, he joins other Biblical authors in lamenting to God: seeing the things we see in our lives and our world and the pain they cause us and others then taking our questions to God for answers. Here, the complaint is about injustice and violence, where the law is not working, justice is not done and the wicked - and the not the righteous -seem to be winning. What questions do you have for God today?

About this Plan

Beginning with God’s covenants with Noah, Abram and David, these readings explore God’s ongoing mission to restore his broken creation, drawing people back to himself. God’s mission finds its fulfillment in the person and work of Jesus Christ, a mission which the church continues today. Be part of a global movement changing the world around you by reading the Bible aloud for one minute every day.
