Praise the Lord for the Lord is good, celebrate His lovely name with music. 

To celebrate means to praise. We celebrate today by praising God for His blood and what it does for us. 

Matthew 26:28 NLT

For this is my blood which confirms the covenant between God and His people. It is poured out as a sacrifice to forgive the sins of many. 

One of the purposes of blood sacrifices in the Old Testament was to teach the sinner that sin is very costly and an animal had to die to pay for the man’s sin. The flowing blood around the altar was meant to break the heart of the sinner. But for man it became nothing more than a convenient system. 

Till the Son of God left heaven and came down. The blood of Jesus was poured out to forgive our sins! Our hearts break at what our sin did to Him - they break in worship and surrender! 

Meditate:

He has removed our sins as far from us, as the east is from the west. 

Pray: 

* Thank the Lord for the forgiveness in the blood of Jesus.

* Confess any sin which God is showing you right now and ask Him to cleanse you with His blood.

* Pray for those who are struggling with addictions to be set free.
