Live Well In Covid Times Sample
Philippians 4:4 NKJV
Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!
So the lockdown continues and maybe some of our hopes diminish. Will life ever be the same again? Well, it’s time to read the most joyful book in the Bible - Philippians.
Paul uses the Greek words for joy and rejoicing 16 times in this small book! And the amazing thing is that Paul wrote these words while a prisoner in Rome. He had been wrongfully arrested, suffered many hardships and was left under house arrest for two years. He was also in a lockdown, but his attitude was nothing like ours.
Paul’s joy was not dependent on his circumstances. “Rejoice in the Lord always.” Rejoicing always does not mean that we would never experience any negative emotion like worry or fear or anger. But just as God hid Moses in the cleft of the rock, He wants to hide you too. There is a place in God - in your relationship with God - if you find it and come there your circumstances can’t reach you. No lockdown can affect you or touch your joy.
Meditate:
* Psalm 32:7 NLT
For You are my hiding place; You protect me from trouble. You surround me with songs of victory.
Pray:
* Thank the Lord for His faithfulness to you all these days of the lockdown.
* Pray that your relationship with Him will grow deeper.
* Pray that you will have good attitude - an attitude of faith throughout this difficult time.
