A House That Worships
Lluvia Richards
The Church has always been known for the music that comes from it. We create songs that become hymns which resonate in our hearts—a sound that echoes within us and unites with the voices of others.
The songs that are sung every Sunday or at every event do not exist simply to fill a space of time. There is intention and purpose in every moment of worship.
Why do we worship? Because in worshiping, we choose to stop looking inward and turn our gaze to the heavens. In worshiping, we remember and we rest, and that's where our faith gains strength.
Looking at Jesus reminds us of the greatness of His sacrifice on the cross, having given His life for us. When we raise our voice to Him, all voices around us are silenced, leading us to find the peace that surpasses all understanding. When we worship in the midst of difficulties, our faith becomes resilient because there, we realize, that God's goodness never ends and His mercy is new every day.
Worship must be part of our essence because in doing so we empty ourselves while we are filled with faith, vision, gratitude, and hope.
God reveals Himself to us in the midst of worship. We approach Him and He approaches us, and then our whole perspective changes.
Let's live great lives, saturated with honest and real worship!
