MILLIONS

“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord of Heaven’s Armies!

God is big. Real big. He created the entire universe and everything in it. He created the sun, the moon and the stars and He also created every cell in your body. He knows us in and out.

The song ‘Millions’ is an attempt to capture the grandeur and beauty of God, yet at the same time acknowledging our place within His universe.

To attempt to point out every way God displays his beauty in the world is an impossible task, but it’s what makes God so great. It’s what makes singing so powerful. It will always be a mystery how the God who created the entire cosmos is interested in a personal relationship with all of us.

If I test the depths I can’t reach it

If I try to find all the secrets I’d get lost in Your mind

There’s no limit to God’s beauty and there’s no limit to His love. He has created a big wide world for us to enjoy us because He loves us that much. How often do we miss this reality because we’re too busy or too anxious?

God manifests himself millions of different ways yet He has also given each of us a particular role and particular calling. Once we acknowledge what we’ve been given, our response should just be, ‘Thank you.’ Don’t let the business of life keep you from enjoying this beautiful world God has created. Step into the reality that everything created is an expression of His love.

ACTION

Cultivate wonder in your life. Make a list of things (the more specific the better) that you think are awesome. Thank God for those things.

PRAYER

God, thank you that you are so far beyond my imagination, yet you are still within my reach. Thank you that everything in this world belongs to you including my life. Help me see you each day in a new and fresh way. Help me notice your activity in the world that I may celebrate your goodness and creativity. In Jesus name, Amen.
