Walk Through the Bible 365 - AprilSample

A National Anthem
Many children across the world learn their nation's anthem and sing it during special gatherings, ceremonies, and even daily in school. This brings a sense of national pride, a sense of belonging, and a sense of identity. The nation of Israel was changing command and preparing to enter a new land, a new life, and a new destiny. God gave this song to Moses who passed it on to the nation. As you read the song do you "hear" God telling the singers, "This is who you are, where you've been, who I am, and what I will do for you?" We can only imagine what it may have sounded like when God's chosen people sang with all their strength, pride, and glory to God.
Prayer: Father, I thank you that your word reveals the heritage of your people. You have brought them through many trials and that reminds me that you will bring me through trials as well. Let the praise from my lips bring glory to your name. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
