God Made Man: Discovering Your PurposeSample
"And though one can overpower him who is alone, two can resist him. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken."
Ecclesiastes 4:12
Lord Father,
My heart breaks for brothers who suffer from feelings of loneliness. Our sisters are so much better at meeting and making true friendships, that we men are often left alone, feeling unloved.
I pray that our brothers drop the hard shell and make themselves approachable to other brothers so that the Holy Spirit can introduce them to each other. The darkness of loneliness can become suffocating, but still brothers cling to their pride.
Father, show them there are many others in the same circumstance praying to escape the crush of solitude. You did not make us to be alone. Whether it is a friend or a co-worker, men naturally seek bonding with other men. This is how early man survived—by creating tribes, villages, and communities. Lord, I pray they know they are not alone.
In the precious name of Jesus, we pray, Amen
