God Made Man: Discovering Your PurposeSample

"You shall not covet your neighbor's house. You shall not covet your neighbor's wife, or his male or female servant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor."
Exodus 20:17
Lord God,
You've placed the word covetousness on my heart to share with our brothers. We lose sight of the many blessings You give because we're too busy drooling over what the neighbor has, or what some celebrity on TV is driving, or what an athlete is wearing.
I pray that they turn their eyes from others and lift their hearts to You. That they shall see how amazingly giving You are.
Blessings are often where we seek them. If a brother is reading this, then having the liberty of being free to worship is just one of many blessings You provide.
Covetousness also places the desired item above their love for You. I pray nothing interferes with their heavenly line of sight.
In the precious name of Jesus, we pray, Amen
