Even IfSample

You’ve likely heard the phrase, “Seeing is believing.” And when all we SEE are the constant changes happening in our lives, it’s easy to BELIEVE that’s the way things are always going to be. We’ll always be on a roller coaster of change at home, at school, in relationships, and on the sports team. By contrast though, the Bible tells us that what we see is fleeting. In fact, God urges us to build our lives around— and focus on—what we CANNOT see: God and God’s goodness.
This week, when you go through something difficult, remember that your current season of life is temporary, but God and His love and goodness toward you are permanent.

About this Plan

Life is full of change. Whether it be good like making the team, bad like parent’s divorce, or complicated like switching schools. Change can make us ask “Am I strong enough to face this?” or “Why do I have to go through this?” These devotionals will challenge you to rethink how you view change, and we’ll explore how God’s commitment to us doesn’t change, even if everything else does.
