God Sees Our Heart
Proverbs 16:2
All a person’s ways seem pure to them, but motives are weighed by the Lord.
Once, Jesus sat near the Temple offering box where people put their offering. While there were many rich people who gave large sums of money, one poor widow caught His eyes. She put two very small copper coins into the box. Jesus praised her for what she did. Those two small copper coins were all that she had, and yet she gave it all with a thankful heart.
Jesus teaches us that God looks deep inside our hearts, not the outer appearance that people will usually look at. God knows what might seem very little or worthless to others might be a significant sacrifice for us, and He really appreciates it. He always values whatever offering we bring, as long as it comes from a grateful heart for what He has done in our lives.
God has always blessed us and provided us with everything we need. We bring our offering as a way to show our thankfulness and to give back from the abundant blessings He has given us.
Prayer
Dear God, thank You for Your abundant blessing in my life. I want to bring my offering with a grateful heart to You. Amen.
