Ghosts in My NurserySample
Kicking out and Keeping out Ghosts
2 Timothy 3:15 (NIV) says, “and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.”
One of the ways I am keeping ghosts out of my nursery is by teaching my children God’s Word and acknowledging God in my parenting. By teaching my little ones the Bible, I am pointing them to God early in life and raising God-dependent children instead of raising self-reliant children. It prevents my children from becoming victims of my past.
More than we acknowledge, the early years of life are the most critical years of human life. In the first 1000 days beginning from conception, human personality, sense of self, and other life-defining patterns are formed. God knows the importance of the early years and instructs us to start off our children in the way they should go (Proverbs 22:6). Dysfunctional family patterns often make it difficult for parents to provide the emotional and spiritual support children need to start off their life. The good news is that acknowledging God in our parenting gives us victory over negative patterns or ghosts in the nursery. As we daily submit to the Holy Ghost in our parenting, we kick out and keep out evil ghosts. Every day, we can come boldly to the throne of grace to obtain mercy and grace (empowerment to do what is naturally difficult or impossible).
If possible, go into your physical nursery space and declare, “In the name of Jesus, only the HolyGhost is allowed in this nursery!”
Give God thanks for your victory!
