Inside Christmas: Life With Emmanuel, God With UsSample
That Was AMAZING! What’s Next?
Now that you have eliminated excuses and created a space for God in your daily life, you are intentionally welcoming Him to participate in decisions big and small.
You are listening for His voice in your heart. You are fine-tuning your spiritual ear to hear His voice that comes up like a thought from your heart and not down from your head.
You are learning to agree with the Word like Mary saying, “may it be done unto me according to Your Word,” a statement of permission and submission.
You realize God is asking a lot of you, but He’s not asking you to give more than what you have received of Him, and He’s not asking you to do it alone.
From the angels to the innkeepers to the magi and every participant and piece of the puzzle God designed and brought together for this monumental, game-changing moment that would affect humanity for eternity, we have to ask, “what’s next?”
“And the Child (Jesus) continued to grow and become strong [in spirit], filled with wisdom; and the grace (favor, spiritual blessing) of God was upon him.” Luke 2:40
On the other side of this heaven-invading, earth-shaking moment, fulfilled prophecy comes along the next day, thousands of years in the making. Each day between the next earth-shaking, life-changing, purpose-fulfilling moment was a day of continued growth; physically, spiritually, and mentally in partnership with God himself.
This was true for Jesus, and it’s true for us. This is how we walk in the fulfillment of God’s calling on our lives. It’s learning to know Him and do life with Him more and more each day.
As we choose to do daily life with Him, JESUS is still fulfilling His ultimate desire, to be Emmanuel, God with us.
Pray-
Thank you, God, for Jesus and for making way for us to be together forever. Please help me to grow in you daily. Please help me not be discouraged by little progress but see the big plans you are working on and developing in me for your glory. I am so thankful that you are Emmanuel, God with us.
Read-
Ephesians 2:10 AMP
“For we are His workmanship [His own master work, a work of art], created in Christ Jesus [reborn from above—spiritually transformed, renewed, ready to be used] for good works, which God prepared [for us] beforehand [taking paths which He set], so that we would walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us].”
Philippians 2:13 AMP
“For it is [not your strength, but it is] [a]God who is effectively at work in you, both to will and to work [that is, strengthening, energizing, and creating in you the longing and the ability to fulfill your purpose] for His good pleasure.
