DAY 2 OF 6

YOU ARE LOVED

God loves you. Yes, He loves you. Overcoming insecurity and finding your identity in Christ starts here because you cannot begin to trust anything God says about you until you first wholeheartedly believe how much He loves you, like really loves you.

Love is God's most central quality. Love comes from God, and God is love. God has revealed His love for you by sending His son, Jesus, as the sacrifice to pay the price of sin for humanity. The crucifixion of Jesus is forever sealed in history as the ultimate display of the love of the Father. The joy of salvation rushes into your life when you admit that you have sinned against God, believe in the redemptive work of Jesus completed on the cross, and confess Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior.

Maybe you have already accepted salvation but still struggle to grasp God's great love for you because of mistakes from your past or feelings of unworthiness. Here is a reminder: the love of the Father is unconditional and everlasting. You never have to strive to earn His love, and you never have to manipulate to secure His love. No other love could ever satisfy compared to God’s perfect love for you. God knows every part of you, both lovely and unlovely, and He still delights in you. This is real love, and nothing could ever separate you from it.

When you strip everything away, the very foundation of your identity in Christ is that you are loved by God. As you read the Word, ask the Lord to make His love so real to you and then allow it to transform you from the inside out. And just in case you have never spoken these words from your own mouth, or if it has been a long time since you have heard yourself say it...

SAY THIS OUT LOUD: I AM LOVED BY GOD.
