Corrective Lenses

DAY 6 OF 6

YOU ARE EQUIPPED

This series began by comparing how insecurity functions similarly to eyes needing corrective lenses. Along the way, you have learned how seeing yourself and those around you through the lens of your identity in Christ is what focuses His light shining upon you.

Stay on guard, though, because the reality is that most insecurities do not simply disappear overnight. The enemy will try to plant lies and seeds of doubt in your mind, but with the power and authority of the Holy Spirit, you can take every thought captive and surrender them to Christ. You can be transformed by allowing God to change the way you think.

Time spent meditating on God’s Word is the key to tuning your heart to hear His voice— for His voice to become louder than any other voice in your life. So to wrap up this series, here is a list of Scriptures you can turn to and declare whenever you feel insecurities arise. Screenshot this list, write it down, or even send it to encourage a friend. The Word of God will equip you with everything you need to rest secure in your identity in Christ.

WHO AM I IN CHRIST?

  • I am a child of God (1 John 3:1)
  • I am loved (Romans 8:38-39)
  • I am seen and known (Psalm 139:1)
  • I am free (Romans 8:1-2)
  • I am safe (Psalm 32:7)
  • I am healed and made whole (Isaiah 53:5)
  • I am a masterpiece (Ephesians 2:10)
  • I am fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14)
  • I am capable (Philippians 4:13)
Day 5

About this Plan

Corrective Lenses

Blurred vision results when the lenses of your eyes fail to focus light properly. Any type of corrective lenses work to help your eyes focus light correctly. Just like glasses or contacts for your eyes, the corrective lenses for insecurity is your identity in Christ. Defining your identity in Christ will focus His light, bursting through any insecurity, and bring total restoration to your vision.
