Parents and Kids Daily Devotional "Look at "Us

DAY 19 OF 31

As the anointed generation, God has given us the task to spread the Good News of His loving kindness to the people around us. There will be times when you find it difficult to do so. There will be challenges along the way. But today’s verse reminds us of a promise of God that we can always hold on to. God is our strength and our fortress of salvation.

It means, God will always be with us no matter what. He will never leave us. His anointing will fill us and enable us to finish every task He gives us.

Every character in the Bible faced problems and challenges. Some were chased by enemies, some were tortured for their faith, others were mocked and outcast by society, etc. But one thing they had in common, they kept on walking. They did what they had to do according to God’s will in their lives. How was that even possible? They experienced God’s presence and protection first hand. They were confident that whatever tomorrow might have brought, God was with them.

How about you? Can you trust God that way?

Devotion for Parents
The Word of God today is very simple. It reminds us that we are never alone in our daily spiritual battle. God is with us and He is always ready to help us. Keep holding on, parents. You have done a great job! Keep moving forward with God. He loves you more than anything.

Devotion for Kids
Your parents always try to take care and protect you. But remember, they have limitations. There will be times when your parents won’t be next to you when you need them the most. When that happens, remember that your source of strength and fortress of salvation is in Christ alone. He will never leave you and He is ready to help you any time of the day. Keep trusting Him.

Family Devotion Time
Play a game with your family. Make 2 teams with mom and dad as the leader of each team. The teams will compete. Play a game that suits your surroundings, such as hide and seek, scissors/paper/rock, etc. The losing team will have to do something that has been agreed on. If the “punishment” is too difficult, then the leader of the team has to do the “punishment”.

Remember, this is just a game. In real life, we have God who is ready to protect and take our place. He helps us in times of trouble.
