What would you find the hardest thing to share? Your food? Your clothes? Your money? Your Xbox?! Imagine sharing everything you have! When the earliest followers of Jesus started the church, that is actually what they did. All different kinds of people decided to follow Jesus, and when they started this group of people called the church, everyone did everything they could to help and serve each other, and share what they had, so that no one went without.

And this group literally changed the world. People couldn't believe what they saw, so it got bigger. Others were amazed by the love, commitment, and generosity that these people who called themselves Christians showed to one another.

And now, 2,000 years later, Jesus is asking us as his church to do the same again. To be the kind of people who love and forgive one another, even after we’ve been hurt. To be the kind of people that show up to church on the weeks when we feel great and the weeks when we don’t. To be the kind of people who don’t gossip or criticise one another but encourage and build each other up. To be the kind of people that love to share and be generous with one another so that the world around us looks at the church and sees something of Jesus. Don’t you want to be a part of that?
