Imaginate – Collaborate With The Creator

DAY 4 OF 6

In Process

When I look at my own performing art of magic through the years, I can see the struggle and desire to strive forward. I have definitely not arrived by any extreme, and honestly do not know if I ever will in the field of magic. But this struggle, this desire, this journey…

This is also how I feel about my relationship with the Creator. Though my salvation is complete, though I have been forgiven, though “the old is gone and the new is here,” though I am a “new creation” in Christ, I still am very much in process (see 2 Corinthians 5:17 and Philippians 2:12).

Already.

But not yet.

I know I need to push my relationship with God further.

When someone decides to become a follower of Jesus, there is a hope that he or she will just suddenly arrive, that everything will just be happily ever after. Like a girl who dreams and plans her wedding from age six. She has studied bridal magazines for so many years. But the end of the wedding ceremony is actually just the beginning of the marriage. When we first decide to entrust ourselves to God, we are fully saved. We are fully forgiven. We have full access to his Spirit. We are made new. And yet, we are also just at the beginning of our eternal relationship. If we stop there, we will miss God’s best for us.

The wonder of discovering and aligning ourselves with the surprising creativity of God is part of the process.

We must keep trying to imaginate with him.

You are a living work of art.

You are not static.

You are being made new.

In Christ, you are saved.

But he is also not finished with you yet.

Day 3Day 5

About this Plan

Imaginate – Collaborate With The Creator

We can feel lost, unworthy, and unremarkable in this broken world. But we’re invited to—in fact, created for—an ultimate collaboration with God himself. In this 6-day plan, magician and storyteller John Michael Hinton, in collaboration with Ken Castor, will help you find your significance as God’s masterpiece and discover how to partner with God in his creative process. Unlock your true purpose by imaginating with God.
