Plot TwistSample
Thanos. Ursula. Voldemort. Maleficent. Cruella. Anakin Skywalker. Who else belongs on that list? Who else would you characterize as a villain? The names on that list are known as villains because of the harmful plans they put into place. Some of these fictional characters might have seemed innocent at the beginning of their stories, but soon their actions proved that they would be recognized more for their villainous reputations than for their harmless beginnings.
When we make a mistake, there’s fear of our reputation being damaged. Our reputation or character can be damaged by just one mistake — that one time we thought we could get away with something. Before we go down the path of thinking we’re destined to be villains, we have to remember that because of Jesus, we’re given another chance when we repent. What he says about who we are matters most, and he says we're forgiven.
Take a moment to look in the mirror today. Ask Jesus to show you how he sees you, not defined by your mistakes.

About this Plan
Whether it’s your favorite movie, book, or reality show, you know there's nothing like a good plot twist! A plot twist can make us rethink everything we thought we knew about the story. In this 30-day devotional series from Grow Curriculum, designed for Lent we’ll focus on how Jesus experienced “life-plot twists” and how he is with us when we go through unexpected moments in our life.
