Plot TwistSample
"I just can't feel Jesus' presence, so why should I even believe in him?"
Can you relate to that question? Maybe you've had experiences where Jesus' presence in your life feels so overwhelming — so real — that you could never deny that he's real and at work in your life. But then, maybe life gets complicated, and it feels like your prayers don't get answered. Suddenly, Jesus' presence just doesn't seem as tangible as it once was.
In the book of Psalms, we find lots of feelings and emotions, lots of questioning if God even cares. That should help us know we're not actually alone, even when we feel like Jesus is far from us. The reassurance we have from the Bible lets us know that we can trust Jesus is present with us, even when we don't think he is. Sometimes we might be reminded of Jesus being with us through nature, like an awe-inspiring sunset, or through a conversation where someone listens and encourages us. When we are reminded of Jesus' presence, we can trust that he's always there for us.
How can you carve out some time to encounter Jesus today?
