Walk Through the Bible 365 - DecemberSample

A Second Chance
Our God is the God of second chances. But it is not automatic; it is not because he is ‘soft’ or wishy-washy. It is because of his amazing grace and mercy: giving us what we don’t deserve and not giving us what we do deserve. Jonah was given a second chance, and in so doing 120,000 people of Ninevah had the chance to repent as well. Is God giving you a second chance to say ‘yes’ to him? Do it!
Prayer: Gracious Heavenly Father, how patient you have been with me. Forgive me for the times I have run in the opposite direction, just like Jonah. Forgive me for the times I have put myself first and relegated everyone else to the rubbish bin. I need a second chance from you today. Today, in the Spirit’s strength I say a courageous, ‘Yes!’ In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
