When we communicate with one another, we aren’t just limited to passing along information or descriptions of what’s currently happening in our lives. Instead, communication allows us to share a part of ourselves with another person. When we’re so bursting with love that we can’t stand it, communication allows us to show that to another person through our words, gestures, and even eye contact! Or when we’re struggling, communication can help us share that burden with another who can help provide comfort and understanding.

Communication helps us to be real with another person. And God so wants that from us. He doesn’t want us to give Him the bare minimum of information; instead, He wants to know everything that we’re willing to share. He wants to know how we’re feeling, what we’re going through, and what we’re thinking at every given moment. He wants to be the Person who we go to and for us to know that He is always listening. What is one specific thing you want to tell God today? Maybe you want to let Him know how much you love Him and how that love is something that anchors you through all things. If you’re feeling frustrated with a situation, let Him know, and ask Him to help guide you through the situation however He thinks is best.
