The world can make you feel like you're drowning. You’re overwhelmed; you’re too tired; the stress of life weighs heavy on your shoulders; the future is daunting and unknown. But the Lord never calls us to be too busy or too worried—He calls us to be still. Stillness in today’s world feels impossible, but that’s what we are commanded to do. The moment we take our lives into our own hands and don’t make time for stillness is the moment we begin to feel waves of worry and uncertainty. Take a moment now to remind yourself that God is God and you are not. He holds you in His hands in this moment—in every moment! Trust Him with your life and keep His promises in your heart. Be still in His presence and take a deep breath. Now allow the Lord to speak life and truth to your soul— He knows just what you need.
