Things that happen around us and to us are called our circumstances. These might be things like: where we live, what others say to us, how much money we do or don’t have, how others treat us, sickness, things that go right or things that go wrong. Sometimes we have the opportunity to change our circumstances, however often they are things out of our control.

All of these things seem to come at us from the OUTSIDE. When we’re talking about living with hope, we are talking about hope in God, hope that is on the INSIDE.

When we’re living with hope on the inside it doesn’t matter what comes at us from the outside, things that might shake us from side to side, up and down. No matter what happens, living with HOPE on the inside brings JOY!

Hope and joy on the inside can overflow in any circumstance we face. Even in the toughest of times, living with hope brings joy, joy that may not even make sense given what circumstances you’re facing.Read today’s verses to find a story in the Bible about Paul and Silas. The circumstances they were in could have kept them locked up, but on the inside they had hope in God!
