Who or what are you worshiping?

There are so many obstacles that we need to overcome in order to worship God. People, places and worldly things are always trying to take our attention and ultimately receive our worship. We are spiritual beings. We were made to worship. We can’t not worship. The question is who or what are we worshiping? Money? Sex? Power? Approval of man? Success? What are we striving for? What are we chasing after? And, who are we trying to please?

There is only One God who ultimately deserves all of our worship and all of our attention. His name is Jesus. He is the one who endured all of our shame to restore and heal us. The cross that he bore on our behalf took away the sins of the world and reconciled us to God the Father.

Here we stand
Here we stand in victory
By His blood
By His blood we have been redeemed

Because of Him we can stand in complete victory. The blood of Jesus brings us liberty and redemption. No one else can save us. Nothing else can redeem us. It is only believing in Jesus Christ. He needs to be high and lifted up above all other names.
