The Mystery of WorshipSample

SHACHAH! No, that is not a shout of Karate Kid during one of his combats. In fact, I have another special word for you: CAGAD! These are the Hebrew words from the old testament where the word worship was used. I love to look at the original texts from the Bible, especially when we are discovering the meaning of specific words. So let’s look at the meaning of the word “worship” (Strong's Concordance, 2023):
“Full of humiliation and surrender, with your body extended, begging spread out over the floor.”
There simply is not one word that translates the words SHACHAH or CAGAD. Words you could use are: to obey, extend, submit, dedicate, follow, surrender, trust, humiliate, and humble.
Also, the meaning there’s nothing connected to music either. Yet, the word worship is nowadays very much associated with music. Where does this come from? We will figure it out in this reading plan.
What are your associations with the word “worship”? Write them down! I am very curious whether your thoughts will change after reading this reading plan.
I also would like to give you some Biblical examples where the words SHACHAH and CAGAD are used in the Bible 🥷🏻. And then, I would like to see you again tomorrow!
