Romans: A 21-Day Musical DevotionalSample

He Came to Die
Yesterday’s devotion and accompanying song centered around the sinfulness of man and our inexcusable state of condemnation, closing with the question, “How can anyone be made right unless the Lord is on His side and in love He came to die?” Today’s content is the sweet resolution to that question: Christ came to die for His people, offering his life as a propitiation, or a wrath-appeasing sacrifice, for their sins.
Think of it this way, the justice of God requires that someone be punished for your sins. So, Christ died in the place of guilty sinners like yourself, thereby allowing a perfectly just God to freely forgive the sins of those who place faith in Christ. Have you placed faith in Christ and received His righteousness? There is no other hope of salvation.
