Back to School: Encouragement and Wisdom for the New School YearSample

Stay Positive
Let's face it–our kids might run into situations that prompt negative feelings or complaints. Yet, the verses in Philippians 2:14-15 call us to a higher standard, one that transcends grumbling and arguing.
Negativity and complaining can be tempting and even give us a fleeting sense of relief. However, they often create a toxic cloud that overshadows our outlook on life. In situations that challenge our patience or test our resilience, God's desire is for us to remain positive and optimistic. This doesn't mean we have to embrace every situation, but it reflects our confidence that God's victory prevails no matter what.
When we choose to approach life with a winning attitude, we elevate ourselves beyond the mundane and into the extraordinary. It demonstrates that we truly trust that God is in control. We become "children of God, shining like bright lights in a world full of crooked and perverse people." Our positivity in challenging circumstances radiates the light of God's love, illuminating the path for others.
