When you're having a bad day, what's something that can make it better? Maybe it's hanging out with a good friend or going for a walk. Simple shifts like these can make the biggest impact and completely turn our day around.
Knowing Jesus is a lot like that — with one step toward Jesus' words, we are offered new life. This life is eternal, but we don't actually have to wait to experience it — we can know that kind of life now. When Jesus said he came that we may have life and have it to the full, he meant living in a way that isn't easily shaken. Sure, we are faced with challenges and opportunities to be robbed of our joy, but knowing Jesus is what helps us navigate it all.
Having a full or abundant life may look different than what you expect. It's not wealth or fame which we know doesn't provide true happiness. A full life looks like joy that cannot be stolen and hope that cannot be crushed. It's a life that is content in who we are in Jesus, even when things in life are uncertain or even rocky.
So, how do we experience this abundant life Jesus talks about? The same power that resurrected Jesus is within us which means we have access to it always! Nothing can stop us from knowing the love of God and the fullness Jesus brings to our lives.

About this Plan
When Jesus was on earth, there were a few times when he told his followers exactly who he was. For the next four weeks, we'll explore some of these stories to find out how Jesus described himself to others. We'll take a look at what changes when we hear Jesus tell us he is love, he is truth, he is always with us, and how he is our Savior.
