Day 21: Finding Joy in Spiritual Growth
Spiritual growth often happens incrementally, sometimes so subtly that we might not notice it right away. Yet, each step forward brings its own kind of Joy—a Joy rooted in becoming more aligned with God’s Will, deepening our relationship with Him.
In 2 Peter 3:18, the Apostle Peter encourages believers to grow in both Grace and knowledge. Growth isn’t just about acquiring information but also about becoming more gracious, compassionate, and Christ-like. As we mature in our faith, our capacity for Joy also grows.
Think about your spiritual journey as a garden. The more you nurture it with prayer and study, the more it will flourish, producing the fruit of Joy, among other blessings.
How have you experienced spiritual growth recently?
What practices or habits contribute to your spiritual growth?
How has your sense of Joy evolved as you’ve grown spiritually?
Commit to a spiritual practice that you’ve been neglecting or want to explore. It could be deepening your prayer life, joining a Bible study group, or engaging in a life-giving outreach. Note any changes in your sense of Joy as you commit to these activities.
