Day 29: Finding Joy in Sanctification
First Thessalonians 4:3 states that it is God’s Will that we are sanctified. But what is sanctification? Sanctification is a lifelong process of becoming more Christ-like, marked by growth, transformation, and purification. While it can sometimes involve challenges and self-examination, it is also a journey filled with deep and abiding Joy. It is the Joy of drawing nearer to God, of shedding the old self and its nature, and of embracing the abundant life He offers.
Consider your own journey of sanctification. Reflect on the moments when you felt the Presence of God’s Spirit leading you toward Holiness, guiding you away from behaviors that do not honor Him. Think about the times when you’ve experienced the Joy of growing in faith and becoming more like Christ.
Take a moment to reflect on how far you’ve come in your journey of sanctification. Consider the positive changes in your character and behavior that you’ve experienced and find Joy in the evidence of God’s Transformative Work in your life.
Prayerfully identify areas in your life where you still need to grow and be sanctified. Seek God’s Guidance in these areas and be open to His Leading as you strive for greater Holiness.
Share your experiences of sanctification with a fellow believer or someone who may be struggling in their own journey. Encourage and support one another in pursuing Holiness.
