The Nine Beatitudes of JesusSample

Day 2 - Blessed are the poor in spirit
Jesus’ first beatitude is, “Blessed are the poor in spirit, For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” – Matthew 5:3 (NKJV). Interesting!
Being poor in spirit is having the ability to recognize our limitations and sinful desires. Jesus wants us to acknowledge that we can not save ourselves and need divine intervention. He encourages us to rely on a higher power - God, for salvation.
It is written in 1 Timothy 1:15 that Christ Jesus came to save sinners. Therefore, become a benefactor of God's divine inheritance by accepting Jesus as Lord and personal Savior.
Come to Him just as you are – the unknown, addicted, and sinning you. And I assure you that as you draw closer to Him, He’ll do good work in your life to transform you for His glory!
