DAY 10: WALKING IN FAITH
Read: 2 Corinthians 5:7; Hebrews 11:1; Ephesians 2:10; Proverbs 16:9
2 Corinthians 5:7 provides clear insight regarding how our faith should directly impact the way we live. We are called to walk by faith, not by sight. Faith is defined in Hebrews 11 as the assurance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. It is far more than positive thinking and vague hope. It is confidence in the promises of an all-powerful, innately wise, and eternal God. By choosing to walk in faith, we are affirming our own belief in who God and in His promises for us.
Have you ever tried to walk without moving? It is impossible. Walking requires movement and progression. As we develop an eternal perspective by meditating on God’s promises, we are not intended to remain still and to patiently wait for eternity. On the contrary, we are called to move onward in Christ by walking out our belief in God’s Word in a way that will lead us to living a life that makes a real and lasting eternal difference.
PRAYER
Dear Heavenly Father, light my path and direct my every step. Thank You for Your promise to guide me and to direct me. I trust that as I continue to walk with You, You will be by my side every step of the way. Lead me all the days of my life and allow my walk to bring you glory.
