Lost - the Story of ZacchaeusSample
Lost
Did you know around 50,000 people get lost in the woods in the United States each year? Nope, that is not a typo, FIFTY THOUSAND PEOPLE! If you have ever been lost, you know the feeling when you realize, “I don’t really know where I am, where I’m going, or how to get back home.”
For a while, being lost is not a big deal, especially if you do not think you are lost. But when nothing feels familiar, or you realize that everything is familiar because you have been walking in circles while getting nowhere, that pit in your stomach starts to show up.
Very few people get lost by intentionally doing something REALLY DUMB. According to Survival Dispatch, only 5.6% of people who got lost had left their trail on purpose. No matter HOW you get lost, one thing is true: you need to be found.
Luke 19:10 says, Jesus came to “seek and save the lost.”
Are you lost (spiritually speaking)? Have you thought to yourself, “I do not really know where I am, where I am going with my life, or how to get back to what I was made for?”
What does it mean to be lost? Great question. In the Bible, to be lost means you aren't living with who and what you were created for, which is a relationship with God. To be found means you have been brought back to God. He is the one who made you, knows you, and loves you.
The Good News is Jesus came to seek and save the LOST. Jesus is on a rescue mission for YOU. Jesus can save you!
