Lie: Truth Is Relative
In our world today, the idea of “relative truth” is popular. There is this idea that Truth is conditional, subjective, and can change over time. The lie that Truth is relative says that what is true for one person might not be true for another.
God’s Truth is unchanging. The Bible teaches us that God’s Truth is Absolute and Eternal. In John 14:6 Jesus says, “I am the way and the truth and the life.” Jesus is the Ultimate Truth. The Truth that is found within the Bible does not change based on others' opinions or even how our culture shifts. It is true no matter what. Think of the Bible like a compass, no matter where you turn or what direction you face it will always face North. This is just like God’s Truth. It does not change based on our feelings or circumstances.
When the enemy tries to feed us this lie that Truth is flexible and can change, let’s hold to the Truth found in God’s Word. It will give us direction, guide us, and help us live according to His Will.
