God's Redemption Story (The Church: Part 2)Sample

2 Timothy – Day 2
False teaching was a big problem in Paul and Timothy’s day. Some people picked their favorite parts of Israel’s history, sliced up the old prophets, minced the words of Jesus, and stirred in a liberal scoop of popular philosophy to cook up their own tasty religion—something they could stomach more easily than God’s truth. Sound Familiar?
Our modern world hasn’t changed much. People like nice Jesus who loves me, but they pick an odd verse here and there to condone the life they want to lead. In truth, we are all filthy sinners—a bitter pill to swallow. But Jesus gave Himself to pay our price. What’s more, God loves us enough to change us, not leave us in our sin.
Let’s search Scripture—all of it—for God’s truth and let Him transform us.
