God's Redemption Story (The Church: Part 2)Sample

Titus – Day 2
Besides general dishonesty and immorality, one of the biggest issues Titus faced in Crete was false teachers, both Greek and Jewish. They mixed a little of the Gospel with some of the old Jewish superstitions and a healthy dose of whatever the current culture wanted to hear to make them feel better about their bad behavior.
Sound familiar? Our culture likes to pick a verse or phrase out of the Bible and bend it to say what justifies our own choices. Paul encouraged Titus—and us—to stand firm on the Truth of God’s entire Word and hold others accountable to do the same.
No, this is not easy. Yes, we may suffer embarrassment, ridicule, or even significant consequences. Paul was killed for his stand. But in the face of such challenges, we can rest on the hope of Eternal Life that God promised from the beginning.
