Do you have one area of your life that you’re fully confident in? A place in your world that you know you can walk into with the assurance you’ll be able to handle it? Maybe you’re confident in your job. You walk in every day knowing you have what it takes to get things done. Maybe you’re confident in your parenting. You feel like you’ve got your feet on solid ground when it comes to raising your kids right now. Maybe you’re confident in your relationship. Whether in marriage or dating, you feel sure and secure in that space in your life. Maybe you’re confident in your abilities, your intelligence, your appearance, or something else completely. Whatever it is, consider this question: Do you have that same confidence in God? Does your faith carry you with confidence into any part of your life? While the answer for a lot of us will probably be, “Sometimes,” God wants us to shift our thinking to offer a resounding “Yes!”

As Jeremiah reminded us, when we trust and put our confidence in God—when our faith is the place we find the source of confidence in any part of our lives—we aren’t just living the way God calls us to. No, more than that, we’ll be blessed. Not in the typical sense, of course. This doesn’t mean gifts rain down from the skies, or that all our problems go away, or things turn out better than we expected all the time. But it does mean that we can have a deep sense of joy, peace, and faith in any circumstance or season. We’re blessed when we find our confidence in Him!
