Prayers for My HusbandSample

Set His Mind on Truth
For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace.
Romans 8:5-6
Talk to God
Lord, Your Word is a source of guidance, sometimes even showing us the outcomes of our actions. When we allow our minds to dwell on our feelings and desires, it can lead to a sense of spiritual death. However, when we focus on the truth and align our actions with Your will, we experience life and peace. I pray that my husband learns to direct his thoughts toward Your truth. Help him to shift his thinking and fill his heart with life and peace. May he be diligent in taking every thought captive, living a life of obedience to You. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
Think
Where are you experiencing death of connection, death of peace, or death of joy? Resolve to push your thinking toward truth so you can experience life and peace. Flip the script in your mind today.
Take Action
Step into your husband’s world in some way. Engage in a hobby he enjoys (even if you don’t) or join him while he’s working on a project.
