As We Wait on YouSample

I’ve heard it said that waiting on the Lord is not for the faint. I have to agree. Waiting for 25 years for a promise from God has not been easy. It has been hard, full of doubt and uncertainty. I have wondered if God had forgotten me or wasn’t for me. I had many days and nights where I blamed God for not doing what He said He would do. Then something changed. I actually saw Him do it. I witnessed a miracle, and it changed the course of my life forever. No turning back. I saw Him accomplish something He said He would do in my life 25 years after He said it. Was it worth the wait, you ask? Definitely! He is always worth the wait. And because I saw Him answer His promise to me, I will never forget it. I saw Him love me in front of thousands of people, on display. It was extravagant.

That is one of the many reasons I will always love Him. The verse that says, “we love, because He first loved us.” 1 John 4:19 is very true. To be honest, I would always struggle with that verse and think, “Why does God have to love us first before we can love Him?” Now, I know why. It’s because God is Love, He initiated the love, and when we see that, we can respond and love Him in return. It answers your questions while waiting. You realize He is for you and wants you to accomplish what He has set out for you to do. It comes down to really one thing…. He wants His Namesake, not yours.

So don’t get mad or upset with God in your wait. Take heed, watch, and see Him do it! When He does, your heart will burst with love for Him, even more than you could ever imagine. There are still more things we are waiting on, it only gets better from here…
