Adventure in EvangelismSample

DAY 2: A One-Week Turnaround
Paul’s transformation wasn’t just personal—it was immediate and public. Within a week of encountering Jesus, the former persecutor was preaching in the very synagogues where he once sought to expose and hunt Christians. His boldness astonished the people of Damascus, and rightly so. This was a man who radically and quickly changed.
Most of us don’t pivot that fast. We wrestle with pain, healing, and identity for months or years. But Paul’s story reminds us that when Jesus enters a life, He brings power, not just comfort. The Gospel isn’t only a message of healing—it’s a call to action.
Evangelism is an adventure. It’s not always convenient, but it’s always necessary. Jesus didn’t suggest we go and make disciples—He commanded it (Matthew 28:19). The early Church grew not because of professional preachers or perfect services, but because everyday believers embraced the ongoing work of the Gospel.
Too often, our mindset holds us back.
Ananias could have been trapped in a negative mindset—focused on his fear, reputation, or safety. But he wasn’t. He followed God’s voice and played a part in one of the most significant missions in history. When Ananias laid hands on Paul, he wasn’t just helping a blind man. He was commissioning an apostle who would carry the Gospel to the nations.
God still calls people like Ananias—and like you. He’s building bridges through obedient hearts. You may feel like your part is small, but God uses small acts to unlock big destinies.
Reflection Questions:
- What distractions might be keeping you from seeing God’s bigger picture?
- How has God turned your pain or past into a platform for purpose?
- Where is God calling you to act, not just believe?
