His Word for Today: Book of Numbers 1:1-16
Who is the Lord leading us to invite into our team?
The essence of leadership is about serving people like Christ, who chose to serve and become sin so that we may become the righteousness of God in Christ. (Ref 2 Corinthians 5:21) This certainly teaches us that leadership is essentially not about the position we hold but about influence. We may hold the position of leadership, but those under you in the organization may not genuinely follow you because they have not been influenced positively by you. Christ has and had influence regardless of position so that we may believe in Him and follow Him.
Christ now has a countless number of followers globally, both in the past and at present, and in the future to come. His leadership, as revealed in the Scriptures, that causes to influence others is the true leadership that leads to team and organizational growth.
Are we afraid of having Judas in our teams that force us to remove them? He fully trusted Judas and invited him to His team. His betrayal was used for His good, for His resurrection to come, and for the Gospel to be preached across the globe.
Today, let us reflect on who God wants to bring into your relationship. It may be Judah, but our choice to obey causes all things to work together for good. (Ref Romans 8:28) It is about His plan to be fulfilled in our lives.
May the Lord continue to richly bless you!
