Day 4 – Distractions on the Road
Devotional:
Modern wheels are full of buttons: cruise control, horn, phone, music… Useful, but also distracting. A driver must learn to focus on the road – because a moment of distraction can be disastrous.
In our spiritual lives there are countless distractions too: busyness, worries, temptations, opinions of others. Small things that gradually pull us off course. The Bible often warns us to be watchful. Not to make us fearful, but to keep us alert. The enemy does not attack with brute force, but with subtle distractions.
Like a driver, you must keep your eyes on the road, your heart attuned to the voice of the Holy Spirit. He is your GPS, your Navigation. As long as you follow Him, you will stay on course – despite what happens along the way.
Prayer of the Day:
Lord, help me to stay sharp in my spiritual life. Teach me not to be distracted by everything coming my way. Keep my eyes fixed on You, Jesus, as the steady point on the road. Holy Spirit, remind me when I drift. Bring me back on course again, and again. Amen.
About this Plan

Day after day, we take hold of the wheel of a truck—and of life itself. The wheel sets the direction, the course, the destination. But who truly holds that wheel? In this reading plan, we’ll explore what it means to hand over the steering wheel of our lives to God. What happens when we release control and allow the Holy Spirit to guide us? Just as a small wheel can move a massive vehicle, God’s leading can set our lives on course—safe, purposeful, and in peace.
