The Word Is LifeSample

The Word That Judges
Today’s verse has a bitter, almost unsettling tone. After days spent talking about the beauty, power, and sweetness of the Word, we now face a serious and profound truth: the Word judges.
Not because it wants to crush or accuse us, but because it reveals the truth. It is so full of life, light, and righteousness that whoever rejects it walks away from everything that gives meaning, direction, and salvation. The Word is not just a guide; it is the standard by which our lives will be measured, now and for eternity.
Ignoring it doesn’t make us free; it exposes us. It’s like ignoring the safety instructions on a suspension bridge; no one forces you to follow them, but if you choose not to and the bridge collapses, you don’t need anyone to condemn you. What you ignored is what determines the outcome.
God gave us His Word out of love, to warn us, guide us, and save us. But if we reject it, that same Word will testify against us.
Prayer: Lord, help me not to reject Your Word. Help me to welcome it, love it, and follow it every day. Amen.
