I Know a GuySample

Pause and be still. Remember that Jesus is with you in this moment.
In the interaction between Jesus and Nicodemus in John 3, Jesus refers to a story about Moses in the Old Testament. Read that account in the book of Numbers, and then read Jesus’ words.
Read Numbers 21:4-9 and then John 3:13-17.
- What is Jesus saying about himself as he uses this story?
Jesus was lifted up on the cross so that everyone who looks to him can be healed and saved. He did this in the humblest act of self-sacrifice, but we also know that he is now exalted in a place of highest honor—seated next to God, the Father, in heaven. All eyes are on him.
Prayer: What do you want to say to Jesus in response?
