Philippians - Choosing JoySample

Read: Philippians 2:5-11
SOAP: Philippians 2:9-11
Friends, one day EVERY knee will bow in honor to the name above all names… Jesus. Not only will everyone bow, but everyone will confess that Jesus is Lord! What a glorious day that will be! In the meantime, we have a lot of work to do! We can never stop reaching out to a hurting world that is desperate to know the One who bears this most powerful name… Jesus! Now is not the time to shrink back or hold back. It’s the time to reach out, roll up our sleeves, and get to work. Now is the time to reach out to a world that needs to feel the love of Christ. Now is the time to help people experience forgiveness and receive unconditional love! That glorious day when every knee will bow and every tongue confess is coming, but until that day let’s get busy!

About this Plan

Joy is the theme in the book of Philippians, which is pretty amazing considering this letter was written by Paul while he was in prison. How is it possible to have joy in the midst of overwhelming sorrow and suffering? In the end, Paul teaches us that Jesus is the Author and only source of true joy.
