Ever met a person you defined as “needy?” Maybe there’s that one person in your life that is always texting someone, or always needing someone to complain to, or always needs company. We love them to death, but maybe you just wish that sometimes they would be just a little less “needy.”

If we’re honest, we probably try and avoid living life this way, for fear of being defined as, “needy”. There’s nothing wrong with trying to live in a way in which we depend less on other people, the problem becomes when we apply this same logic to our relationship with God.

God is never too busy for us to lean upon Him in our time of need. He’s never got too many people on the go to have time to listen to our petitions. And he never finds our need of Him the least bit annoying. In fact, He delights in being our help in time of need. God promises to be with us, and to uphold us in our time of struggle.

Whatever you’re going through today, would you tell God of your need for Him? Allow Him to uphold and strengthen you in this very moment.
