Reading the Bible in Historical Sequence Part 10Muestra

AD 31 John the Baptist is arrested. Jesus retreats to Galilee and on the way witnesses to Samaritan villagers. He declares the Kingdom of God is at hand. In Capernaum a royal official requests healing for his son. At Jesus’ second Passover in Jerusalem He gets death threats for saying God is His Father.
Note John 4:4f: Samaritans were descendants of intermarriages between Israel’s exiles in Assyria and foreigners whom Assyria transmigrated into Samaria in 669 BC (2 Kings 17:24). They were referred to as ‘the enemies of Judah’ in Ezra 4:1.
