Life On Mission

DÍA 30 DE 30

The disciples behaved with courage and boldness and Peter takes the opportunity after the Holy Spirit is released to them to declare the truth about Jesus (Acts 3:12-4:21). It wasn’t just a lesson he taught but there was a demonstration of the power of God. This behavior gets Peter thrown into jail with a stern rebuke to stop talking about Jesus. These weren’t hollow threats. These were the same leaders that led the charge against Jesus and successfully had Him crucified.

At this point many of us would be very tempted to tame down the message, go into hiding or let someone else be bold for a moment. However, Peter, was not that type of guy. With their reputations on the line, they meet and pray.

Only courage can make you respond like that. It’s going to take people with courage like that to reach people far from God. This is the posturing that a people of influence need to have. We have been rescued to rescue. The boldness and courage that it took others to introduce us to Jesus needs to be embodied afresh in our lives.

Your mission is to live in the reality of your transformed life from here on out. Embody what you have learned. You are released to extend the love of God with passion, boldness and courage.
