DÍA 2 DE 28

Imagine a world where you and your friends gathered with one intention — pulling your resources to help others. Now imagine those friends invited you to a generosity challenge, where whoever gives away the most stuff in one week wins.

But, because you are brilliant, you get them to change their challenge slightly. Instead of being generous with money or stuff, you get them to agree to be generous with something you both have the same amount of. . . time. Now the playing field's level, and it is possible to beat your other friends at this challenge.

This situation helps you see something: generosity isn't just about giving away money. It can be so much bigger than that. Generosity can include something more precious than money: your time.

In Ephesians 1:7–10, the apostle Paul talks about what happened when Jesus extravagantly gave away his time. For this to happen, remember it wasn't just by chance. Jesus gave of his time intentionally. Meaning it was intended from the beginning of time for Jesus to be generous in this way.

Not only did he forgive your sins, but he also made it possible for you to have unity and friendship with God. Because of what Jesus did, you're invited to be generous with your time, too. As you follow Jesus today, look for ways to be generous with your time.

What if that same mindset inspired us to live differently in our lives? What if we looked to God for ways to be extreme and do the unexpected in places like generosity?
